The 3 inch overall length gives me enough reach to get into the tight corners of the weld seams without the tool body scraping. Cartridge rolls seat firmly on the 1/8 inch mandrel and don't slip even under decent pressure. Runout is minimal too, which keeps the finish even.

Snug fit on my die grinder and the 1/8" shank runs true with barely any wobble. Used it with 1" cartridge rolls on some weld cleanup and the mandrel held the roll tight the whole time.
