These belts cut through hardened tool steel noticeably faster than what I was using before, and the grinding aid really does keep the heat down. Getting a clean finish with less loading on the belt makes a big difference.

Switched from ceramic belts to these zirconia ones with the cryolite additive, and the difference on hardened steel is night and day—cuts smoothly without burning the metal. The 1 1/8 x 21 size fits my file belt sander perfectly.

The cryolite grinding aid really makes a difference—these belts stay cool even after back-to-back passes on hardened steel. They cut aggressively without loading up, so I’m getting noticeably longer life than with my old belts. Grabbed a few extras for the shop.
