Kevin X. ★★★★★

The 180 grit cuts fast enough that my dull chisels only need a few passes, and the oval shape lets me get into the curved edge of my gouges without fighting the stone. It's a bit thirsty and needs a soak first, but once wet it holds up fine for a full afternoon of sharpening.

I've been using this on my kitchen knives for a few weeks and the 180 grit cuts fast enough that I don't have to sit there grinding forever. It's a hefty 9-inch stone, so it stays put on the counter instead of sliding around. My only note is that it does need a good soak before use, but that's true

Lucy ★★★★★

Bought this to touch up my chisels and it cuts fast for a 180 grit. The oval shape fits my hand better than the flat stones I've used, and the 9-inch length gives a nice long stroke. No complaints so far.
