Finally got these to replace the worn-out pad on my random orbital sander, and the hook-and-loop grip is noticeably more secure than my old one. Used the pad protector right away to keep dust out of the loop during storage.

The pad protector is a nice little extra that saves the hook-and-loop surface from getting clogged with dust. The backing pad itself is rigid enough for detail work but still has some give on curved surfaces. Glad I grabbed the whole set instead of sourcing pieces separately.

The 938GV-E backing pad fits my Mirka sander perfectly, and the hook-and-loop surface holds the sheets firmly without any slipping during use. I picked up the pad protector too, and it's nice to have that extra layer between the pad and whatever I'm sanding.
