Installed one onto my random orbital sander and the PSA backing grabbed tight immediately. The five holes line up perfectly with my dust extraction holes, keeping the mess to a minimum.

The 3/8 inch thickness gives just enough cushion to avoid gouging the wood on delicate sanding jobs. The PSA backing holds firm even when I’m using it on a random orbital sander for extended periods.

The five-hole design on this pad really helps the dust extraction work—my sander stays clear much longer than with a solid backing. It’s also stiff enough to handle flat surfaces without flexing too much, which surprised me for a 3/8-inch pad.
